September 24-26, 2010
The Sun Valley Harvest Festival (formerly the Sun Valley Food & Wine Festival) will take place September 24-26, 2010. The festival has been moved to the fall to take advantage of the local harvest and the beautiful Sun Valley weather. Focusing on regional sustainable foods, wines and beers, the event will feature cooking demonstrations by visiting regional chefs, wine and beer tastings, a culinary trade show, a restaurant walk, chef's dinners and a beer garden.
The Festival will kick-off Friday with cooking demonstrations and the newly added culinary trade show which will feature regional farmers, producers and vendors. In the evening, the Restaurant Walk gives festival goers a chance to stroll through town as the local chefs offer sample tastings paired with regional wines and beers. On Saturday the trade show and chef's demonstrations will continue. In addition, The Sawtooth Botanical Garden will host a Beer Garden with live music, beer tasting, beer making 101, a home brew competition and food offerings from local chef's and caterers. Saturday evening's festivities will include Chef's Dinners, special Harvest Festival menus at local restaurants and live music at several downtown establishments.
More details about this great event will be available shortly at www.sunvalleyharvestfestival.com.
