May 23rd – May 26th, 2008 – 2008 Sun Valley Wellness Festival
**   The  Wellness Festival will be held at the Sun Valley Resort on May 23-26.   The Festival includes more than fifty presentations and workshops addressing various modalities of body, mind, spirit and environmental wellness.  An Exhibit Hall and a Hands On Hall are also offered as part of the Festival.  For more information visit the web site: www.sunvalleywellness.org. June 5th – June 9th, 2008 – Sun Valley Food and Wine Festival
** Sun Valley hosts this celebration of culinary excellence with the second Sun Valley Food and Wine Festival provided by the Sun Valley/Ketchum Restaurant Association and  Sun Valley Ketchum Chamber & Visitors Bureau.

May 24th, 2008 – Sun Valley/Ketchum US Half Marathon
** Run in the Half (13.1 miles), 12K, 5K Walk or 2 Person Relay (6.9 & 6.2 miles) in one of the most beautiful settings in the country.  The US Half Marathon, Sun Valley/Ketchum, loops from Sun Valley Village through Elkhorn, Ketchum & Sun Valley.  Enjoy brillant views of  Baldy as you pass alongside the Big Wood River and Trail Creek on the scenic Wood River and Sun Valley Trails.  2008 Half Marathon will take place Memorial Day Weekend on Sunday , May 25.  Check in early on Saturday, May 24 from 11am-2pm and then enjoy the Sun Valley Wellness Festival inside the Sun Valley Inn. June 14th, 2008 – 17th Annual Sawtooth Relay
** The Sawtooth Relay, about a 62 miles course, is open to running and walking teams and ultra-marathoners. (Six member teams will run or walk about 5 miles twice). The Relay begins at the Stanley Elementary School and finishes at Atkinson Park in Ketchum.  There is a Post-Relay party for finishers of the Sawtooth Relay and the volunteers.  Complete information is available on the web site: www.sawtoothrelay.com

June 17th, 2008 – Sun Valley Summer Symphony Talk with Alasdair Neale
** Please join the Sun Valley Summer Symphony for a free talk by Maestro Alasdair Neale, "Up Beat with Alasdair", at The Community Library from 6:30-7:30pm.

July 10th, 2008 – Cowboy Ball
** The Annual Cowboy Ball benefits the Sagebrush Equine Training Center and the therapeutic riding program.

July 11th – July 13th, 2008 – Ketchum Arts Festival
** Festival includes about 100  artists' booths featuring a variety of arts and crafts from well-known local artists, several non-profit booths representing Wood River Valley organizations and lots of food and beverage at the Sun Valley Festival Meadows.  Check out the web site:  www.KetchumArtsFestival.com.

July 12th, 2008 – 13th Sawtooth Botanical Garden
** For 2008 the date for the annual Garden Tour is July 12.  This  premier summer event offers a self-guided tour of private gardens in one location of the Wood River Valley.  A lunch at the Sawtooth Botancial Garden follows the tour. July 24th – July 26th, 2008 – 27th Annual Sun Valley Center Wine Auction

August 1st – August 2nd, 2008 – Northern Rockies Folk Festival
** The Austin Texas band of The Gourds will star at the 2008 Northern Rockies Folk Festival on Friday, August 1.  Dave Alvin, formerly of Dave Alvin and The Blasters, will headline on Saturday, August 2. Marley's Ghost, from California, a roots-music string band will open for both headliners on each night.

August 2nd, 2008 – 30th Annual Tour of Homes

September 25th – September 27th, 2008 – Sun Valley Spiritual Film Festival
